it was after he gave a talk of sorts, in which among other things i talked about his enthusiasm for conlangs (toki pona?) which seems fairly pausible, and some bit where he refers to himself as a socialist according to a broad left-libertarian definition (pretty implausible even in a tongue-in-cheek way).
we didn't really discuss our differences much, but he was flirty in his dorky way which was fun 😅.
